On February 3, 2022, we brought him home from Mehayo Centre, a centre for disabled children in Morogoro, Tanzania, back into the loving care of his parents and little brother. You can read the full story here or watch this loving reunion here.

His fathers regularly sends us updates on how he is doing and he is thriving! This picture is made in August 2024. On the right is the boy with his brother on the left. And his big smile makes us very happy.

Growing up in a family is not only a child's right (according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child), it is also in the child's best interest to grow up in a safe and loving FAMILY and not in an institution.
